Jess Wallace, Vreeland Web & Social Media Manager, was the model bride at her September wedding on Chebeague Island. Maine Magazine clearly agrees. The magazine featured Jess on the cover of its 2012 bridal issue. Beautiful, chic and relaxed, Jess shows how it’s done.

Jess and husband Adam chose photographer Brendan Bullock to shoot their island wedding. His shot of Jess made the cover, and more of his work is featured inside.

Welcome, Baby Davies

Vice President Web Rich Davies and wife Cindy have a welcome new baby. Gareth Warren was born November 29. Rich reports that everything went smoothly and that Gareth is a mellow little fellow. His siblings adore him. Summer buzzes around and talks to him non-stop. Cole loves to just sit and hold him, gently patting his head, or curl up next to Gareth when he’s napping.

Cindy and Rich went back and forth on a name, but didn’t decide until they were on the way to the hospital. Perfect choice, it turns out. Gareth is Welsh, like Davies, and means gentle and noble. As in Sir Gareth of King Arthur’s Round Table. Or Mr. Gareth Warren Davies of Yarmouth, Maine!

Emmy-award winning journalist and National Public Radio senior news analyst Cokie Roberts was keynote speaker at the Maine Public Broadcasting Network’s Annual Founders Reception. Midge and Stew Vreeland attended the event, which was sponsored by client Norton Lamb & Company. The event honored MPBN outgoing President and CEO Jim Dowe, former president of Vreeland client Bath Savings Institution. Midge and Stew said Cokie is as funny and entertaining as she is astute.
