As Managing Partner, Midge directs the development and implementation of multi-channel marketing initiatives for all Vreeland clients. She has made both public relations and social media cornerstones of Vreeland Marketing, leveraging opportunities that reach beyond traditional marketing. Her insight into new media and messaging has benefited a wide range of clients from destination travel and engineering to fine footwear.
Midge has over 30 years’ experience with state and regional utilities, energy dealers and distributors, and a wide range of industry and business categories. She led the Vreeland team in developing marketing and communication channels for the Efficiency Maine Residential and Business programs from inception. Her work on behalf of EM, a fully integrated statewide marketing campaign, was cited for excellence by the Maine Public Relations Council. Midge is a member of the AESP and presented at the 2008 National Conference; she also serves on the organization’s marketing subcommittee.
Midge is one of a very elite group of PR professionals in Maine to receive the Accredited Public Relations Professional (APR) designation from the Public Relations Society. In 2005, she received the prestigious Edward L. Bernays Achievement Award from the Maine Public Relations Council.
Midge has served as an adjunct professor of Advertising at St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine. She is currently President of the Board of the Spannocchia Foundation, supporting educational programs at an organic farm and 1000-acre estate in Siena, Italy.
Midge holds a B.S. in speech from Northwestern University and completed graduate level courses at the University of Chicago and University of Southern Maine.
She is also a winner of the Advertising Club of Maine Conwell Award.
