Dori Shepard is our General Manager. She has over 20 years of experience in agency management, is a critical thinker and problem solver… and likes to laugh.

Tell us a little about your experience.
As a teenager, I started working in the insurance industry handling claims. I later owned my own financial consulting business, providing bookkeeping and accounting services to small businesses in Maine. And for over 20, years I was managing partner and CFO at a regional marketing firm.

What’s it like being at Vreeland?
It’s very rewarding to put my 23 years of senior operations experience to work for the agency and our clients.

What are your key areas of responsibility?
I’m primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency and to oversee new business development efforts.

Your education was in business, right?
Yes, I have a B.S. in Business Management from the University of New Hampshire.

And you have a green thumb as well?
I’m a master gardener and have flower and vegetable gardens at home. Gardening is my passion, I do it whenever the seasons allow.

Cooking, too?
I read cookbooks like other people read novels. I especially like Mediterranean cooking and using a tagine for slow cooking on the stove top.
